Access and Mikula-Harris to develop a comprehensive marketing and advertising campaign that promotes travel to the Roanoke Valley and surrounding region
Roanoke-based creative agencies Access and Mikula-Harris are pleased to announce they have been selected as the primary agency for the new Virginia’s Blue Ridge tourism initiative.
Landon Howard, President of the Roanoke Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau, stated, “As our agency of record the primary focus will be on attracting visitors to Virginia’s Blue Ridge with a goal of increasing hotel room demand, economic impact and job opportunities.”
The two firms partnered in the spring of 2013 in response to the request for proposals from the Roanoke Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau. The goal of the initiative is to heighten the brand awareness of the Blue Ridge region and increase tourism to the area.
Access and Mikula-Harris are recognized both regionally and nationally for their expertise in advertising and public relations.
Access CEO, Tony Pearman commented, “We are overjoyed and grateful that the selection committee and the Roanoke Convention & Visitor’s Bureau saw value in our joint venture and realized the amazing capabilities that our combined firms can offer, right here in Virginia’s Blue Ridge.”
Mikula-Harris President, David Mikula, added, “Our region has so much to offer visitors, including amazing outdoor recreation, scenic beauty, arts and culture, history and charming cities and towns. We’re looking forward to working with the Bureau to bring more visitors to Virginia’s Blue Ridge.”
