Bill Houck, Jr.

Business Development Executive

Born into advertising, Bill can truly say that agency life is in his blood. His grandfather, C.B., founded Houck Advertising in 1928, an agency that Bill Sr. and Bill Jr. both led as president; the latter having worked his way up from the family business’ mail room. Following a successful 62-year run, Houck Advertising closed its doors in 1990 and Bill transitioned to national billboard company Lamar Advertising. Following 25 years with the company, Bill left Lamar as vice president and general manager in Palm Springs, California to return home to Roanoke. Bill’s influence on the industry is evidenced through his longstanding service with the American Advertising Federation. He has maintained leadership roles with chapters throughout the United States, as well as with AAF’s National Board of Directors.
