Running USA awarded Call Federal Credit Union’s Call Federal Marathon, Jr. the Youth Running Event of the Year award on February 10, 2015 at the annual Running USA industry conference.
Access Advertising & Public Relations supported the marathon, held on October 25, 2014, by conceptualizing and producing the pro bono commercial used to promote the awarded event. The third annual Call Federal Marathon, Jr. featured a half-mile and a one-mile run along with a festival of kid-friendly activities. This year’s event drew more than 1,070 local children, a 36 percent increase over previous years. Of the total number of participants, 79 percent of the runners came from schools, community centers and housing developments in underserved communities in the greater Richmond area.
