Access Advertising & PR Winner of Five Categories in the 35th Annual Telly Awards

Access Advertising & PR is proud to announce their selection as a silver and bronze winner for multiple categories in the 35th Annual Telly Awards, for their piece titled Around the Corner.

Access was named a winner in the following categories:

  • Silver Award: Around the Corner – Local TV & Local Cable – Travel/Tourism
  • Silver Award: Around the Corner – Local TV & Local Cable – Visual Effects
  • Bronze Award: Around the Corner – Local TV & Local Cable – Copywriting
  • Bronze Award: Around the Corner – Local TV & Local Cable – Sound/Sound Design
  • Bronze Award: Blue Envelope – Local TV & Local Cable – Bank (up to $500 million assets)

The Around the Corner campaign began when Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport commission reached out to Access concerned that outbound occupancy for their only direct flight to New York had slipped to just 25 percent.

Access was hired to create a high-impact television and PR campaign that would help increase occupancy. Teaming up with Abandon Films, Access created a national-caliber spot on a small budget with a very tight turnaround. Additionally, the PR team secured a valuable endorsement from the Roanoke Times for the flight encouraging Roanokers to “use it or lose it!”

Over the course of the three-month campaign, flight usage increased by 145 percent.
